Art Club
The Art Club at Queen of Heaven offers art related activities to students through an after school program. The art club is an open studio where students are guided through the art making process. Art Club offers creative students the opportunity to create art with students of similar interests. Art Club students will also be assisting Mrs. Achatz with the school Art Show this year. Membership is open to all 6th, 7th and 8th grade students in good academic standing.
News from the Art Room
Many exciting things are happening in the art room this spring! Queen of Heaven’s Art Show and Science Fair has been moved to March 30th. Time is TBD. Every student from the school will have a work of art in the school art show. Please come and show your support for all of our students and their hard work. The Twenty Second Annual Diocesan Art Show will be held on Sunday April 22, 2012 from 1:00-4:00 pm. Please join us in supporting those students whose artwork was chosen to represent Queen of Heaven School.
The Art club is hard at work creating ceramic bowls for the Empty Bowl Project. The Empty Bowl Project supports the Food Bank of WNY. Area students and artists are invited to create bowls made of any material; these bowls are then sold at The Burchfield Penny Art Center at the Buffalo State Campus. The reception to buy the bowls will be held on May 20, 2012 11:00 am-2:00 pm. More information will be given as the date gets closer.
