Re:Absences

Date:October 13, 2009

Enclosed in this week’s mail is important information from the Erie County Health Department regarding the H1N1 virus and immunizations along with some tips on preventing the spread of infection.  Please review this information.

Each day we are required to report absences of students who exhibit flu-like symptoms, especially fever.  It is imperative that parents call the school office to report on student illness and let us know the symptoms of the illness.  You need not speak directly with a staff member but may leave a message on the answering machine providing this information.  In this way we can better track absences in classrooms and at particular grade levels.

Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
