Happy Leap Year! And just like that…it’s March. This week we are putting away 2nd trimester. That can only mean that the last weeks of school are upon us. I’m so pleased with the progress that so many of our students have achieved this semester.
For those families that are hit hardest by the closing of Immaculata High School, we will keep you in our prayers. I will now postpone letting you know where our 8th graders are going pending the choices made by the young ladies that are affected by the closing.
Tomorrow and Wednesday we will be having Dress Down Days for $1. The proceeds from both days will go directly to the Poirier Family. Please keep the family in your prayers as they are still sifting through the remains of their home after the fire.
Next Wednesday our 2nd trimester report cards will be going home. Which means that Parent/Teacher conferences will follow on March 11. Preschool will be dismissed at 11:00 on that day; Kindergarten will be dismissed at 11:15; and grades 1-8 will be dismissed at 11:30. Bus transportation will be here on that day. Conferences are on an “AS NEEDED” basis. If you haven’t heard from your child’s teacher(s) and you would like to request a conference, please contact them directly.
Our 3rd and 4th grade students are doing a great job leading us through the Stations of the Cross each Monday in Lent at 8:30. There is a lot of room in the church for you to join us!
Our teachers are gearing up for a great PARP Night next Thursday, March 10, 2016 from 6:00-8:00. Students in grades PK through 4th grade are welcome to join us for a night of Storytelling, reading games, and more! Reading is a superpower!
Thank you to the HSG volunteers that helped to make the Book Fair, Ice Cream Social, and Fish Fry such a success! There is always a lot of energy in the building when people get together.
God bless us on our journey together,
Mary Damico, Principal
