As we approach the last few weeks of this trimester, I pause to reflect on all the things that this community as done together. Each classroom has dynamic new projects and material that is being covered. It is such a joy to be able to walk in and see kids engaged in learning. Technology is playing a large role in the students’ learning. From the animated stories in the computer lab, to the Glogsters and research being done on the Chromebooks, to the ELA and math games being played on the Ipads. If your child comes home and says there is nothing new in school, ask again!
When we come back from break we are in the Season of Lent. February 23 will be our first Stations of the Cross at 8:30. Each Monday during Lent we will begin the day with stations. It is considered a Prayer Service. Please join us for the 30 minute prayerful walk led by our third and fourth grade students.
Also when we come back, we will be having our Book Fair, Fish Fry and Ice Cream Social. Please join us.
Thank you again to everyone that donated an item or their time to help our Catholic Schools Week fun day be so memorable. The whole week was filled with service, knowledge, and faith.
Best of luck to our own Mrs. Wagner who will be running in the Disneyworld Marathon next week. Also, please join me in prayer for the safe surgery of Mrs. Thomas on February 25 and her speedy scooter-free recovery.
For all of you that are travelling over the break be safe! For those staying local, enjoy the week off! The office will be closed over the break! Think Spring!
