Many months ago we began our journey on some of the hottest days in Fall. It was hard to believe at that time that the weather would change and we would be at this point in December ready to go on break. But here we are on the eve of our Christmas program and break. Life passes so quickly. During this holiday season especially, our minds and lives are going at warp speed! Advent is a great reminder that we should slow down, wait, and be prepared.
Preparing also means taking stock in all that you have. I am so grateful to all of the supportive families in this community, the wonderful students that we see each day, my fantastic staff that work so hard, our fabulous volunteers, our steadfast parishioners, Fr. Tom and Fr. Dave, and my wonderful assistant, Mrs. Teibel. We truly are Companions on a Journey.
We all look forward to seeing you on Friday for the Christmas concert. Seating will be on the gym floor, the gym loft, and the cafeteria. Our technicians are working hard to ensure a flawless live streaming performance. Doors will open at 7:00a.m. Before school drop off will be at 7:15 in Ms. Ode’s room (110). Please present your ticket at the door. The preshow will begin at 8:45 with our Queen of Heaven Band and the concert will be at 9:00.
Students will be dismissed from their classrooms directly following the end of the concert. The official end of school time is 11:00a.m. Just a reminder that it is a Dress Up day. Thank you to Mr. Texido and Mrs. Achatz for coordinating the event and to all the teachers and students for working so hard to give us a great show!
School will resume on January 5. It will be an A day. Just a reminder that WE ARE IN SCHOOL ON JANUARY 30 to make up for one of the snow days.
Merry Christmas and a joyful New Year to you and your family. I hope you have a restful break!
God bless us all on this journey together! ~Mary Damico, Principal
