This week officially starts the second quarter of school. The teachers and I are impressed at how much the students have grown these past 10 weeks. Yesterday (11/12) marked the first day that we have 100% attendance as well! After many days of colds, the flu, and strep throat we are all here and ready to start.
This week we will be sending home the report cards for the first quarter. For grades 3-8, we will be celebrating the children’s academic success of Merit Roll and Honor Roll. An invitation will be in the report card envelope. We will be celebrating the Merit Roll honorees during announcements on 11/19 and the Honor Roll recipients at a “Honor’s Breakfast” on 11/20. Please join us if you can. It is a great way to support your child(ren). Congratulations to all our students for putting forth great effort this quarter.
Next week are the Parent/Teacher Conference Days. Please contact your teacher if you have not signed up for a time. It is important that each parent has a conference for the first quarter. We look forward to seeing you.
Good luck to our eighth graders this weekend (11/16) as they take the High School Entrance Exam at their school of choice!
As we head into the holiday seasons, it is easy to get wrapped up in the commercial excitement. Here at Queen of Heaven, we continue to show by example exactly what being thankful is all about. I am thankful for my incredible staff, supportive Pastor, 180 smiling faces, and the fantastic families from which they came. Enjoy the long Thanksgiving break with your families.
God bless us all on this journey together!
