Happy March! With the new month is the promise of Spring and all things warm.
Today we ushered in the Church season of Lent by celebrating Ash Wednesday. During this season we will be having Stations of the Cross led by our third, fourth, and fifth graders. This is a wonderful way to relive the last moments of Jesus’s life on earth and to reflect on our own lives today. The Stations of the Cross last about 25 minutes in total. Please feel free to join us. The dates and times are listed on the calendar.
As of this date, we have more than doubled our school population with students on a wait list for some grade levels. While this is good news, the work now begins to look at staffing, busing, and class size. Your help is needed. If you are planning to enroll your children for next year, please observe the March 31 deadline. After this time, we will need to honor the people on the wait lists and fill spots. We have re-registration forms online. I will also have these available at our next Home School Meeting.
Just a reminder that we are in session on March 21. The school lunch menu for that day has been changed to Southgate Cheese Pizza.
As basketball season comes to a close, I want to personally thank the hard work and dedication of all our coaches. The players have a true sense of skill and sportsmanship thanks to your mentoring.
God bless us all on this journey together! ~Mary Damico, Principal
