Happy Memorial Day! It is a wonderful time to remember those that served in our Armed Forces.
May has been a busy month. We have had special Mother’s Day ceremonies, Ribbon Day and our last Buddy Day.
Next week we will say buon voyage to our 8th graders as they depart for places of interest in Cleveland. The students have done a wonderful job fundraising for the trip and even earned enough to leave a legacy gift behind. A large statue of Mary (one that we don’t have to borrow) is on order and will arrive in time for graduation. It is truly something to be proud of to leave something of yourself behind for others to enjoy.
Next week we will be hosting 2 days of community building. Our “Retreat Days” are meant to bring next year’s middle school and Intermediate grade students and parents together before we leave for summer. Please check your schedules to see if you are free to join us for the family picnic starting at 12:00 each day. Come meet the new parents, students, and teachers. Please RSVP by 5/23.
The final exam schedule will be going home to the students this Friday. This will give you plenty of time to plan and study. The final day of school for grades 1-7 is June 25. We will have an achievement awards ceremony at 8:30, report cards will be handed out, and dismissal will be at 10:30.
Don’t forget about the Sports’ Night on June 1 and the HSG/Knight of St. John Golf Tourney on June 21.
God bless us all on this journey together! ~Mary Damico, Principal
