I received a phone call yesterday from Fr. Tom. He said it was the first time he had used a phone in months (can you even imagine that?). He sounded good and wanted to thank everyone for the cards and the prayers. He hopes to be going home on Saturday and is looking forward to coming back soon. Needless to say, my spirits were lifted (despite the snow!) just hearing his voice.
We are winding down testing this week. Early reports from the teachers that scored the ELA were positive. Thank you to everyone for your support of the testing. We look forward to using the data to drive our instruction for next year.
A big thank you to Mr. Cruz, the HSG officers, and all the parent volunteers that helped make the Father/Daughter dance so memorable. It was a great night for all.
Just a reminder that our Spring Concert is on May 22 at 9:00. Dismissal will be immediately following the concert, or 11:00 a.m. for those that need to take the bus. No tickets will be given. We will be streaming the concert to our cafeteria as we did at Christmas, and we will be taping it to sell at a later time.
In this week’s Family envelope and electronic envelope you should have received a letter from Fr. Dave regarding Bingo and your volunteer commitment for next year. Please know that everyone will be required to do 5 hours of carnival and 5 hours of another HSG fundraiser. This summer’s carnival counts for next year. Please see the family envelope for various options to fulfill your carnival hours.
Don’t forget… tomorrow is the last day to sign up for the Paint and Pour on May 8. What a great Mother’s Day gift!
Finally, Happy Administrative Assistant Day to Mrs. Teibel. Please join me in thanking her for all she does for our school!
God bless us all on this journey together! ~Mary Damico, Principal
