Happy New Year and welcome to the first edition of the newsletter for 2015! I hope that everyone had a restful break.Thank you to all the families that contributed to the gifts given to the specials teachers and myself. It is truly appreciated.
Thank you also to all that attended our Christmas concert, Sounds of the Season. There are a limited number of DVDs left for sale in the office. The cost is $5. Thank you to our production staff: Caleb & Al from Tri-Delta, and Mrs. Bloom.
During the month of January we are getting ready for Open House and the formation of new clubs to our STREAM Academy. STREAM stands for Science, Technology, Religion, Engineering, Arts, and Math. Currently there are STREAM initiatives in the middle school in the form of Future City, Robotics, Technology, Digital Photography, and Art Club. New clubs are forming in Science, Art, Faith formation, and Readers’ Theater for our students in grades K-5. Stay tuned for some exciting announcements!
To start our Catholic Schools Week on Friday, January 23, we are having a Frozen Night! Come and meet Elsa, Anna, and Olaf from 5-6 and stay for the sing-along version of the movie starting at 6. Refreshments will be sold. All proceeds go to benefit the art club. On Sunday, January 25, come join us for our Catholic Schools Week breakfast after the 8:00 and 9:30 Masses. During the week the students will be involved in field trips, prayer services, Buddy Day, charity work, assemblies, and ending with our annual “Friday Fun Day”. Please remember that we ARE in school on January 30.
Please mark your calendar for our Open House on January 29, from 6:00-8:00. This is a great chance to see the classrooms, take a tour, or visit the Science Fair. Bring a friend!
God bless us all on this journey together! ~Mary Damico, Principal
