Happy May! Happy Ascension Thursday, Happy Teacher Appreciation Week, Happy Nurses’ Appreciation Day, and Happy Mother’s Day.
Thanks to all the families that stopped by the Fine Arts Night yesterday evening. It wasn’t meant to be a fundraiser, but we did raise over $450 for the art program. Truly, in a time when schools are cutting back on the fine arts our programs are still thriving. The art work displayed was amazing and our bell choir and folk singers did a great job. Special thanks to Mrs. Achatz, Mr. Texido and a slew of teachers for helping to put on this wonderful evening.
May is a busy month for students and teachers alike. The end of the month will bring the highly anticipated delivery of Mrs. Wagner’s baby boy, and the wedding of Miss Kuberka. Please keep both of these teachers in your prayers. We welcome Miss Stephanie Dugan to the 5th and 6th grade ELA classes. Miss Dugan is shadowing Mrs. Wagner for a smooth transition into the end of the year. May 20 will be Mrs. Wagner’s last day. Please put Miss Dugan’s email address in your contacts: email@example.com.
Thank you to Mrs. Siler and all the HSG volunteers that have helped to make each day of this week a special one for the teachers (and me!). During this time, it is great to remember the dedication and hard work that each teacher has given to our school.
Don’t forget to sign up for this summer’s carnival on the website: https://www.volunteersignup.org/CLC34.
Congratulations to our Queen of Heaven alumni that are graduating this month from area high schools! We wish you success!
God bless us on our journey together. ~Mary Damico, Principal
