Welcome Spring! We have gone from extreme cold to extreme heat in one week.
As we wind down May, we begin to see final exam preparations. A calendar for June has been sent home today for grades 3-8. Our Preschool and Kindergarten classes will be moving up and graduating on the 7th and 8th of June. I am so proud of how far our little ones have come academically and socially. We look forward to seeing the majority of our preschoolers back next year in uniforms. Currently next year’s kindergarten will have 34 students.
Preparations have been completed for our Spring concert tomorrow. We will once again be able to broadcast it to your work or home (or the homes of loved ones). Please visit the website at http://www.qofhschool.org/401/login.php?redirect=/qofh-school-live.html the password that will be available is Spring2016. The concert begins at 9:00 AM and the doors will open at 7:00. Some school districts will not be running busses: Cheektowaga, Depew, Iroquois, and Hamburg have taken the day off. Please make alternate arrangements—The Show Must Go On!
Please keep Mr. & Mrs. Wagner in your prayers this weekend as they await the birth of their baby boy. Miss Kuberka will be getting married this weekend and will officially be Mrs. Dolph when she returns next week. Please keep her in your prayers as well.
Thank you in advance to the Mendola family and all the volunteers that will be working to make our school picnic a sure success next week. Also thank you to Mrs. McCormick and Mrs. Haggerty for the service they have given to our HSG and to our school. Please join us at our last HSG meeting next Thursday to thank them in person and swear in Mrs. Lombardo and vote on a new secretary.
Happy Memorial Day to all. We continue to pray for all our men and women in the armed forces, active and retired!
God bless us on our journey together, ~Mary Damico, Principal
