Welcome to the end of the first trimester. Time has flown since the start of school. We are busy closing grades this week and getting ready for report cards and Parent/Teacher Conferences.
Just a reminder that each family should have scheduled a conference with teachers for December 3 or December 4. If you still need to make an appointment, please contact the teachers directly for their available times.
Throughout this year we are working on ways to make a difference in our lives and the lives of others. I was so proud to hear that over 95 students and parents joined together in early November to pack food at Villa Maria. After listening to the presentation from the director, we were all moved at how much help was needed to feed the hungry. Thank you to Ms. Martina and the middle school students and parents that helped. You surely made a difference on that day.
With Advent right around the corner, I want to invite you to join us each Monday beginning on November 30 at 8:15 as we light the Advent candles and listen to stories relating to Jesse Tree ornaments. With such a busy time of the year, it is nice to take time to reflect on the meaning of the season.
With the 1 year anniversary of the November storm behind us, we are preparing for the cold weather and wet boots here in the school. Just a reminder that our school closings follow the West Seneca School District closings. You will see our notice on television, as well as, receive an early morning phone call from me.
As you may have already heard, a new pastor has been appointed for Queen of Heaven. Fr. Greg Faulhaber will be joining us on December 1. At this publication time, we are unsure when he will be saying mass with the children. Please know that when he does, we will be having a school reception for him immediately following. Stay tuned…
With the coming of the Thanksgiving holiday, I would like to take the opportunity to thank you for your continued support of our school and our community. Enjoy the time off with your family.
God bless us all on this journey together! ~Mary Damico, Principal
