Welcome back and Happy New Year! We have had a great start to our so far. Our student body is 332 strong! The excitement is in the air as the kids get back to work together. Tomorrow we will have our first mass together at 8:30AM. Our talented faculty will be leading us in prayer and song.
Thank you to everyone that attended our first HSG meeting. Without all of you, our school would not be as successful as it is. Your support of our community events and fundraisers is what makes our school a family. Due to your efforts last year, our school was blessed with great foyer benches, stage risers, stipends for the teachers, free planners, and copy paper. Thank you!
Moving forward there is much to be done. Our band demonstration drummed up a lot of interest in our 3rd graders. Hopefully our band will continue to grow. This Friday is our Back to School picnic and Movie Night. I hope to see all of our children there!
Please RSVP on our website: www.qofhschool.org.
For those that wish to accompany students on field trips, volunteer in the lunch room, or become coaches for our sports team, you must be Virtus trained. Protecting all God’s children training is a one-time training with monthly updates and bulletins. To register for a class please go to www.virtus.org.
A special thanks to the clergy of our building for making our opening weeks so successful. It takes a village to create make a strong community. I am blessed to have our Pastor, Fr. Greg, Fr. Dave, and our seminarian Bob, be in our lives and in our building (see picture below).
God bless us on our journey together, ~Mary Damico, Principal
