Just like that the end of April is upon us. There are now less than 40 school days left! Tomorrow marks a milestone for our 8th grade class as they receive their hope ribbons. These ribbons will become a part of their uniform. Due to the large number of 8th graders and families, tomorrow (4/27) will NOT be an all school mass. Siblings of the 8th graders, and 5th-7th graders will attend.
Tomorrow night is our 2nd annual Fine Arts Night. This is a family event with art and music activities for all to participate. Don’t forget our Scholastic Book Fair and Ice Cream Social is also going on in our cafeterias. It should be a great event for all. We are pleased to welcome our new families for next year. They have been invited to join us tomorrow night. If you see someone you don’t know, please say hello!
May 1 begins our Summer Uniform months. Long walking shorts are allowed. There will not be a requirement of shirt and ties during this time of year. Mass for next week is on Monday, May 1 @ 8:30AM due to testing. As you already know, we have begun to pilot our Mentor Program. All teachers in the building are mentoring students. We are hoping to have this program be a successful for students to receive extra assistance on organization, classroom skills, and study skills. Some or being mentored on HOW to be a mentor for students in our younger grades. We have only met a few times so far, but it’s a great beginning. A special thanks to all the teachers for formulating this plan and being active participants!
We are so thrilled to have Carlie Rambino back in the classroom! Thank you all for your support and prayers. She truly is a living example of strength and courage and a reminder that our God is truly here. Please continue to keep her in your prayers.
God bless us on our journey together,
Mary Damico, Principal
