Happy Valentine’s Day this Friday to everyone. As much as we all like being in school, many of us are looking forward to being warm next week during Winter Break. For those of you going away, please bring back the warm weather!
This Friday’s “Wear Red” Dress Down Day is a donation of a $1 or more. All proceeds from this dress down day will be going to the Neighborhood Relief Fund for West Seneca flood victims. Thank you for being generous.
Speaking of being generous, thank you to everyone that came to help out during Open House Night. What a wonderful display of community. Thank you to our HSG Officers (past and present), athletic directors, parents, alumni, and students for helping to give tours, answer questions, and work in the classrooms.
Due to the number of snow days that we have had, I would like to take back a day that we have on the calendar as a Professional Development Day. March 21, 2014 will be a normal school day. All transportation has been notified of this change.
Congratulations to our 8th graders for being accepted into their school(s) of choice. Many of them received multiple scholarships and had tough decisions to make. We are all so proud of you. (See page 4 for more details)
Since I’ve arrived at Queen of Heaven we have been a journey in a culture of change. To date we have doubled our enrollment for next year. Change will continue here at the Q. We are blessed and are very excited to share our wonderful traditions with many new families.
God bless us all on this journey together! ~Mary Damico, Principal
