Co-Ed Basketball - Grades 1-4

Co-ed basketball is available to all students in first through fourth grades.  Varsity and JV teams are not co-ed, but boys and girls play on the same teams at the younger age levels. 

Queen of Heaven's first through fourth grade co-ed teams participate in the Father Schaus League, which takes place during the Winter Sports season.  The league's games begin in mid-November and end in early March.  Games are played on Saturdays.  Practice schedules are determined by each team's coach, but can be held on weekdays (either right after school or in the evenings) or weekends.   

There is a cutoff date for submitting Permission Forms, especially for basketball players, which was instituted several years ago because of the late number of signups in previous years.  The School needs to know how many players are interested, so we can assign teams, identify coaches, have enough uniforms ready for all players and register with the different leagues.  If your permission form is received after the cutoff date, your child will be put on a waiting list and will only be added to a team if there is room.
