Teaching Philosophy and Educational Approach: Attending preschool can have a positive impact on a child’s future as a learner. Children at this age need many opportunities to build a knowledge base and develop language. Language and literacy build the foundation for learning. I encourage learning that is playful, interactive, interdisciplinary, and connected. I try to find a balance between supporting autonomy and providing an introduction to being a member of a group. My overall goal is to have the children enter kindergarten ready to continue learning and on the road to becoming lifelong learners.
