Kindergarten- Miss. Alyssa Leisenheimer
Teaching Philosophy and Educational Approach:

Every child is an individual and needs different levels of support in the classroom. I teach with what a student needs if visuals, songs or movement. I believe that students are a wealth of knowledge and represent their family culture everyday.

Kindergarten- Mrs. Theresa Rooney
Teaching Philosophy and Educational Approach:

My philosophy as a kindergarten teacher is to create a place where students, teachers, and families work together to meet and exceed the child's academic goals. Students are encouraged to create, explore, and to set simple personal goals in kindergarten. This practice helps them begin to take ownership of their education and develop the mindset that they can accomplish amazing things!  Kindergarteners will be given the tools needed for academic success and develop a love of learning.

First Grade- Mrs. Erica Grad
Teaching Philosophy and Educational Approach:

I believe in the importance of creating a warm and welcoming classroom environment for my students. A large focus of mine is bringing a  sense of community into the learning environment, where students are able to learn and grow together. I understand that each student learns, thinks, and visualizes differently and therefore, I provide a classroom that encompasses the variety of abilities, needs, and learning styles that my students possess.

I aim to build a classroom in which my students have the opportunity to imagine and innovate for themselves. I want them to be able to explore, raise questions, and express themselves. I strive to create engaging lessons that capture my student’s interests, and provide them with opportunities to work and discuss together. My goal is to help my students reach their full potential, while also cultivating a love of learning. Together in a classroom, when we create that respectful and energetic atmosphere, students become their best selves to succeed in the community and future.

First Grade - Miss. Taylor Gawron
Teaching Philosophy and Educational Approach:
I believe the children are our future...
Each and every child has the potential to bring something unique and special to the world. As an educator, I will help students to develop their potential by believing in them as capable individuals. I will assist in discovering who they are, so they can express their own beliefs and nurture their own ideas. I have a vision of a world where we the people learn to respect, accept, and embrace the differences between each other.

Every classroom presents a unique community of learners that varies not only in abilities, but also in learning styles. My role as a teacher is to give children the tools in which to cultivate their own gardens of knowledge. To accomplish this goal, I will teach to the needs of each child so that all learners can feel capable and successful. I will present curriculum that involves the interests of the children and makes learning relevant to life. I will incorporate themes, integrated units, projects, group work, individual work, and hands-on learning in order to make children active learners. Finally, I will tie learning into the world community to help children become caring and active members of society.

Second Grade - Mrs. Christina Beikirch
Teaching Philosophy and Educational Approach:
I focus on creating a supportive and engaging learning environment.  Prioritizing individual growth, fostering curiosity, and promoting social emotional development are paramount. Encouraging critical thinking, creativity and a love of learning can help lay a strong foundation for students' educational journey. I approach each day as a new opportunity to learn and grow, and hope to instill that in my students.

Second Grade - Miss. Tiffany Cacho
Teaching Philosophy and Educational Approach:

I believe that each child is unique and learns in different ways. It is my job as an educator to provide a nurturing, engaging, safe, and fun environment for my students to thrive and accomplish goals to their fullest potential. I know that children learn in many different ways, so I strive to provide them with various tools they will need to succeed within their own individual learning styles. My goals are to establish life-long learners who love learning and have the tools needed to succeed in the future.
