Kindergarten - Mrs. Jessica Emmerling
Teaching Philosophy and Educational Approach:

It is my goal to provide a classroom environment where all my students are excited to come to school each day. Kindergarten sets the foundation for their school career and I want to help them develop a love for learning. I have high expectations for my students to help them learn from an early age that anything is possible if they work hard!

Kindergarten- Miss. Alyssa Leisenheimer
Teaching Philosophy and Educational Approach:

Every child is an individual and needs different levels of support in the classroom. I teach with what a student needs if visuals, songs or movement. I believe that students are a wealth of knowledge and represent their family culture everyday.

First Grade - Miss. Taylor Gawron
Teaching Philosophy and Educational Approach:
I believe the children are our future...
Each and every child has the potential to bring something unique and special to the world. As an educator, I will help students to develop their potential by believing in them as capable individuals. I will assist in discovering who they are, so they can express their own beliefs and nurture their own ideas. I have a vision of a world where we the people learn to respect, accept, and embrace the differences between each other.

Every classroom presents a unique community of learners that varies not only in abilities, but also in learning styles. My role as a teacher is to give children the tools in which to cultivate their own gardens of knowledge. To accomplish this goal, I will teach to the needs of each child so that all learners can feel capable and successful. I will present curriculum that involves the interests of the children and makes learning relevant to life. I will incorporate themes, integrated units, projects, group work, individual work, and hands-on learning in order to make children active learners. Finally, I will tie learning into the world community to help children become caring and active members of society.

First Grade- Mrs. Jane Brod
Teaching Philosophy and Educational Approach:

My first and foremost priority is providing a safe and motivating  learning environment for my students.  I want them to be excited to come to school each and everyday to a classroom that is bright and motivating.  I feel that it is important to establish the class as our family where we treat each other with respect and kindness. Instilling a love for reading in my students is very important to me as I teach them not only to read but to appreciate books as well. I feel that hands on active learning motivates the students as well as supports instruction for the variety of student academic levels and different learning styles at the first grade level.

Second Grade - Miss. Kristin Wach
Teaching Philosophy and Educational Approach:
As a teacher, it's important to create a safe learning environment for all students. Students need to feel safe in their classroom. If they don't feel safe, their learning will decrease. I also want to make sure students enjoy learning and coming to school everyday!
"If you don't first secure students' hearts, you don't have a shot at their brains." ~Angela Maiers

Second Grade - Miss. Tiffany Cacho
Teaching Philosophy and Educational Approach:

I believe that each child is unique and learns in different ways. It is my job as an educator to provide a nurturing, engaging, safe, and fun environment for my students to thrive and accomplish goals to their fullest potential. I know that children learn in many different ways, so I strive to provide them with various tools they will need to succeed within their own individual learning styles. My goals are to establish life-long learners who love learning and have the tools needed to succeed in the future.
