Girls Volleyball is a Fall Sport, and the season lasts from late-August to early-November.  Girls Volleyball is available to students in grades 4 through 8.

Boys Volleyball is a Spring Sport, and its season lasts from early March to mid-May.  Boys Volleyball is available to students in grades 4 through 8.  

Varsity Volleyball - Queen of Heaven participates in a Diocesan varsity volleyball leagues for Boys and Girls.  For the Girls, the league's matches begin in early September and end in early November.  For the Boys, the league begins in March and games end in May.

The seasons typically consist of 12 - 14 matches that could take place on any day of the week or weekend.  Most of the matches might include "double headers" against another school.  Generally, half of the matches will be at home (in the QOH Gym) and half will be on the road, depending upon gym availability. The matches are best of three games with rally scoring. If the team does well, there is a Diocesan playoff tournament that takes place at the end of the regular season.  Parental volunteers for scoreboard operation at home games and line judging at ALL games is requested. 

Sixth graders are eligible to play Varsity Volleyball (both Boys and Girls), but written consent from the Principal and Athletic Director is required.  Fifth graders are not eligible to play on a Varsity Volleyball team. 

JV Volleyball - QOH's JV Volleyball teams are comprised of 4th, 5th and 6th graders.  The JV teams participate in a very informal league designed to teach the game to younger athletes.  The regular season consists of 8 – 10 matches with no playoffs.  The coaches in this league determine the dates, times and location of the games.  The Girls JV season lasts from August through October.  The Boys JV season lasts from March through May.  Home games are played in the QOH gym.  JV Volleyball is a great introduction to the game and helps prepare the athletes for varsity.
