Cross Country - Co-ed - Grades 4-8
Cross Country is a co-ed sport that competes during the Fall Sports season. Students in grades 4 through 8 are eligible to run cross-country.
Cross-country meets are held once per week in September and October at Cazenovia Park, and the season lasts for six meets. The length of each race is 1.5 miles, which is run on grass and trails. Practice for cross-country is held once or twice per week at Queen of Heaven. Runners of all abilities are welcome. Cross Country is a great complement to many other sports such as soccer, basketball or track. This sport is an excellent introduction to long distance running, and athletes from all sports participate to help keep in shape during their "off seasons." Track is a different sport from cross-country. Track is a Spring sport and is open to students 8 years of age and older. More information about Track is found at the Co-Ed Track Tab. Please see the QOH Athletics Home page for information about Permission Slips, registration fees, uniform deposits and deadlines to submit all forms/fees. |
